You can use an AMP stack which has Apache, MySQL and PHP pre-configured to work together will do just like the XAMPP that I used in this tutorial. In case you do not have the requisites setup If you already have Apache HTTP Webserver (and PHP loaded as an Apache Module) and MySQL running, then you have everything you need. I used XAMPP 5.6.30 for Windows for this tutorial you can download it in the sourcforge link below.XAMPP (that contains Apache, MySQL, and PHP in one package). Also, because the OrangeHRM installer will install it's directory inside its own directory instead on the directory being used by the XAMPP module. The troubleshooting phase will address that problem. Why troubleshooting is included? It is expected that a user "WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN" OrangeHRM for the first time after installation because not all users installed their Apache, MySQL, PHP, and XAMPP in the same directories. IMPORTANT: This tutorial involves three (3) phases: Downloading, Installation, and Troubleshooting of Errors The OrangeHRM version involved in this tutorial provides a number of different HR Solutions for companies with LESS THAN 50 EMPLOYEES.
